"Till Death Do Us Part" A Ran Wedding Ceremony (Strife)

Church bells, Stretch Limos, Delicious food and Pretty Bridesmaids are just a few things that come to my mind when I hear the word wedding. Whether it be inside a church, or by the Beach weddings will always be an event everyone will remember. But this wedding event however is different or more like "Unique", for this particular wedding event takes place in the very game itself (Ran Online). Aside from your normal grinding and hunting routines, players may now actually get married giving them a totally different gaming experience.

At around 10:00pm tonight August 30, 2009 I witnessed the epic marriage of JericRaval and missprinsesa (Strife server). What started as just another simple wedding quickly turned into something far greater as GM's started to appear one by one. We were really overwhelmed to see how many players attended the said wedding. Facilitated by "Father GM Lyle" everyone witnessed missprinsesa walking down the carpeted isle and finally exchanging vows with JericRaval. Right after the words "You may now kiss the bride" the GM's and the other players then started to congratulate the newly weds.

Now it was time for the reception! However reception party's at Ran wedding events are far from your usual Fancy restaurants or Caterers. Instead of eating delicious food, numerous mobs are summoned for the newly weds and the invited guests to feast upon. Not a bad finisher for such an extraordinary event. Now some of you are probably curious as to how honeymoons are in Ran Online? Well that is something we leave to the players ^__^v. Cheers to JericRaval and his bride missprinsesa!

My OYE~ Experience (Strife)

Our creatives department needed a short video clip of players doing the "Oye" dance. In just a few minutes a found myself inside the mystic peak campus asking the other players for a favor. Although I was using my GM character at that time, the players were actually suspicious because i was just wearing my preparatory school outfit. In spite of that, I was actually glad to see how the players 1st reacted when they saw me. It's always good to see players being extra cautios at times due to the numerous scamming and hacking incidents going on. It took a few more minutes and a change of attire before the players finally believed that I was really an authentic GM (Haha!). Once I got their trust and attention I then requested if they could assist me in doing this short "Oye" video clip. After a few more minutes of explaining they finally agreed to assist me with the video. We came to an agreement that once the video was done, i would then greet them one by one in exchange for their cooperation.

Our first few attempts were hilarious since it was hard to synchronize our movements. Not to mention there were little hooligans running around in the background (which our video "Director" did not like). After moving to a different location and a few more practice runs we were actually able to get it right (Finally! ^__^v) . Once I was able to thank the players who helped me it was time to deliver my end of the bargain. I did my best in typing in the names of the players and greeting them for all the other strife players to see. After a lot of thanks and gratitude and few Birthday greetings which were special requests, I unfortunatley I had to bid farewell since I still had a lot of other things to take care off. So I took a few more screenies and said my last remarks and the rest was history ^__^v

Ran Online Random Suryun Event

This has to be one of my favorite events in Ran Online so far ^__^v. Since this is random, there is no definite time it will start. In this very fun event, players are invited to the place where the suryun event will be held. Once there are at least a considerable amount of players in the area the CGM conducting the event will then start summoning monsters. Summoned monsters include Bandit's, Violent Baldie's, Storage Guard's and Golf Bomber's with a mixture of favorites like Ninja Knife's (NK) and Cruel Jupiter's (CJ).

Here are some screen shots of this fun filled event held at the wedding hall (Kalayaan Server).

Why GM Chromium?

It took me a whole day just thinking of what GM name i wanted to use. I found it kind of difficult because i wanted a name that was not commonly used by players. Originally i was thinking of using the title of my favorite song as my GM name but for some reason it just did not have the particular feeling i was looking for. It was only after countless hours of thinking and choosing between a few names that i finally decided to use "Chromium" as my GM name. I guess it just kind of got stuck on my mind the very moment i thought of it and also because i thought it sounded kinda cool. I also like the fact that simple and ordinary things become really elegant and stylish after they're chrome plated.

Aside from being a chemical element, Chromium is also the name of a metal band which sang one of my all time favorite songs "Ex-amino". These were the two major factors that helped me in picking my GM name.
